Your Questions About Wind Turbine Generators For Home
Lisa asks…
How do you take wind energy to energy for your home?
If you have an alternator hooked up to a few blades outside, then what do you do with the two wires from the generator? How can it be used?
Can it power my computer? What circuitry does it take to charge a car battery with it? If possible, can it be integrated into my home power grid?
I see many with wind turbines but they don’t go into how they use it.
admin answers:
What you see outside is essentially a wind powered battery charger. The batteries inside power an inverter which will supply 120VAC to selected circuits in the house.
I’m putting together something similar which may help you understand what is being done. Read through my web page for wiring diagrams, charge controller, tower drawings, pictures, etc.
