I would like to learn more about the subject as I read not long ago that you can save money by installing wind turbines in your home. Are there any real benefits? Is it expensive?

Yes it is entirely possible to build your own wind turbine at home. In fact i have actually done this myself by following the some plans i picked up at http://www.residential-wind-power.com/2009/10/reader-review-diy-residential-wind-turbine/ after reading about another guy who bought the plans and said how good they were.
I bought the plans and followed them to a tee….i was totally stoked with the final product that i built at home with my own tools.
